The car was in sad shape.

The car was in really sad shape. It had been outside for several years fully exposed to the elements. No matter. No one was after any sheetmetal or body panels. We were after motors and relays and brackets.

The flatbed was able to back right up to the car. Luckily it went into neutral so we didn't have to disconnect the driveshaft or anything.

The car had to go 30 miles across town to Doug's garage. There was nothing safer than going on a flatbed. The tires on this car were old and rotted, although 3 out of 4 held air.

The driver was an expert and had the car checked out and ready to roll up the ramp within minutes.

Once on the truck, it was a 30 minute drive across town to the tear down location. The cost of this trip in addition to the purchase price of the car was $100 split three ways. That's one disadvantage to buying a parts car. Towing is not included in the price!
