Doug's friend Mitch kept the beer from getting warm.

 
Slowly but surely, the car got lighter.

More and more was removed with each passing day. Soon there will be little left identifying this unibodied beast as a Lincoln.

 
The trunk became our first trash can.

Once cleared of what we wanted and needed, the trunk became a large trash can for disposing the large parts.

 
This is probably why the car wasn't driveable.

Once Keith removed the valve cover, it was evident what kept this car from running. Four out of the eight push rods were bent. This car wasn't going anywhere under it's own power. Seized valves probably spelled the end of this engines life. The oil inside was caked so thick, it was more like asphalt than oil.

 
The exhaust manifold proved to be a challenge.

Dan and Keith carefully choose their tools to extract the right exhaust manifold in one piece. We struggled with it for several hours until we approached it from and entirely different perspective.
