Head removal was necessary to get to the exhaust manifold.

Some of the parts to be saved: Door sils, the Instrument panel, the grille, nuts and bolts, and brackets.

 
Driver's seat removed.

We kept the drums, the AC compressor, the brake booster and master cylinder, the taillight bezels, and the radiator fan.

 
Mitch provides moral support.

The stainless trim was in great shape, as was the wheel well trim and rocker panel moulding (that's one BIG piece of aliumunum). The rear window is for sale if anyone needs it. Even the dash pad is a good replacement for a badly cracked specimen.

 
Bumperless, nearly naked car.

Without a rear bumper (we kept the best parts and threw the rest into the car), this Lincoln is very sad looking indeed. That's not the star on the trunk we forgot to remove. That is dirt.

 
One last view.

The three crazy persons pose with their prize. While there were many parts to be had, this one was not restorable. Rust in the body made the doors unsafe and the floor pan had major damage and in some places didn't exist. We were sad to see even this heap head off to the crusher, but it was for the better.
